The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Ltd.

The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Ltd. is one of the earliest and oldest plantations in the Nilgiris (known as South India's Darjeeling) with estates at Chamraj, Allada Valley, Devabetta and Korakundah. It was formed in1922 by Sir Robert Stanes, and was taken into the Amalgamations stable in 1960.

Pristine surroundings
The estates are located at 8000 ft above MSL and produce some of the finest orthodox, black, green and decaffeinated teas. The teas are marketed in India as 'Chamraj' and ‘Korakundah’ and substantial quantities are shipped to overseas markets.

UNITEA is also actively involved in social projects. It funds orphanages, schools and hospitals that are open to the general public.
